Official Company Details and How to Verify Independent Loss Adjusters

Last Updated on September 24, 2026 by Darren Carter.

Official Clarification Regarding Our Association and Contact Information.

Independent Loss Adjusters Limited publishes the information below so that clients and prospective clients can verify who they are dealing with.

We are aware that businesses and websites may use names that are similar to ours. We are not associated with PublicLossAdjusters.com.

Independent Loss Adjusters Limited also owns the domain IndependentLossAdjusters.co.uk. This domain may be used in the future for an additional Independent Loss Adjusters website, using our established branding but providing separate content and information.

Fraudsters can also impersonate genuine FCA-authorised firms by copying company names, websites, addresses and even genuine FCA Firm Reference Numbers. For that reason, do not rely on a name or FCA number alone when checking whether a communication is genuine.

How to Verify That You Are Dealing With ILA

If somebody contacts you claiming to represent Independent Loss Adjusters, use independently verified information to check their identity.

  1. Check Companies House: Confirm the legal company name and company number using the official Companies House record for Independent Loss Adjusters Limited.
  2. Check the FCA: Search for Independent Loss Adjusters Limited using the FCA Firm Checker and confirm the firm’s current regulatory status and permissions.
  3. Check more than the FCA number: FRN 979706 is our genuine Firm Reference Number, but clone firms can copy genuine FCA numbers. Compare the legal entity and contact details as well.
  4. Verify unexpected contact independently: If you receive an unexpected telephone call, email, text message or social-media message, do not rely solely on the contact details contained in that communication. Contact ILA separately using the telephone number or website shown on this page.
  5. Check email addresses carefully: Routine direct emails from ILA team members use company email addresses ending in @ilauk.co.uk. Be cautious of similar-looking domains, spelling changes or free email accounts. If anything looks unusual, contact us independently before responding or sharing information.
  6. Check appointment documents: If you decide to appoint ILA, our documentation should identify Independent Loss Adjusters Limited and FCA Firm Reference Number 979706. The presence of an FCA number should still be checked independently using the FCA’s own service.

Professional Qualifications and Memberships

Members of the ILA loss adjusting and claims team hold a range of insurance, loss adjusting, surveying, project-management and property-related qualifications. These include CILA-related qualifications and memberships among relevant members of the team.

Individual roles and qualifications are published on our Meet the Team page. Where you wish to verify an individual’s CILA membership or professional status, use the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters’ official channels.

If You Suspect a Clone Firm or Impersonation

If you believe somebody is pretending to be an employee or representative of Independent Loss Adjusters, stop communicating with them until their identity has been checked.

Contact ILA independently on 0800 002 5178 or at info@ilauk.co.uk.

You can also report suspected clone firms or unauthorised financial-services activity directly to the Financial Conduct Authority.

Unsure Whether a Contact From ILA Is Genuine?

Customer Testimonials

Feedback From Clients Who Needed Claim Support

Property insurance claims can quickly become confusing when there are delays, unclear decisions or disagreements over the settlement. These testimonials show how Independent Loss Adjusters has helped clients feel better informed, better supported and more in control of the claim process.

“All dealings with ILA were fantastic, timely, compassionate and steadfast in fighting for your rights, above those of the Insurance Companies. I dread to think how badly the outcome could have been had I stuck with the insurance companies own Loss Adjuster.”

“From the first call they just knew what they were doing. They were easy to talk to, always kept me updated and nothing ever felt like too much trouble.”

“ILA have been fantastic throughout this process. I would highly recommend them.”

“ILA are superb at engaging, on your behalf, with insurance companies. They take ownership of the situation for you and work with you to deliver a tremendous outcome. If your insurance claim has stalled, I would recommend you contact Glenn and Sue at ILA - You will be in exceptionally capable hands.”

“Choosing ILA, with Glenn guiding us through the complex insurance claims process, was the best decision we made. We cannot imagine navigating this ordeal without the assistance of Glenn, Sue, and the entire ILA team.”

These testimonials describe individual clients’ experiences. Outcomes depend on the policy wording, evidence and circumstances of each claim.
