Had a disaster at home?
We're here to help. But first, let's find out what the problem is.
How We Can Assist With Home Owners Insurance Claims
At ILA, we understand that many clients can feel they have no control over their home or business, have no understanding of the claims process and do not have the right information to make informed decisions that impact the claim. This is why we believe it is important to ensure the client is in control; we break down the legal jargon, guide them through the claims process and ensure that decisions can be made for individual circumstances. Ultimately, we aim to achieve a fair settlement that reflects your policy and your loss.
When you choose us, we will provide you with your own expert Loss Adjuster who will support you through your entire home insurance claim process, no matter how complex the claim is. They are well-equipped to offer clear and practical advice designed to minimise the lifespan of homeowners insurance claims and the impact of such claims on your personal life.
With your very own Loss Adjuster on side, you can continue with your normal life while we negotiate the loss, organise quotes, arrange remedial work and validate damaged possessions on your behalf. Here at ILA, we make it our mission to keep your best interests at heart throughout the whole home insurance claim process.
You wouldn’t enter into a housing agreement without a solicitor so why enter a home owners loss insurance claim without a loss adjuster? The team of experts here at Independent Loss Adjusters have years of experience and are dedicated to helping you.
Which Type of Claim Do You Need Our Help With?
Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that cost is an important factor when it comes to settling your claim. That’s why at ILA, we offer a competitive fee of 10% plus VAT of the overall settlement amount. But we also know that every situation is unique, which is why we offer flexible options to our customers.
One option is to utilise our extensive supplier network. If you choose this option and our contractors complete the work, they will cover our fee on your behalf for the proportion of work they complete. This can provide even more value to our customers.
To learn more about our fees and options, please reach out to a member of our team. We’re here to help you navigate the claims process and ensure that you receive the compensation you deserve.
Although claim preparation costs are typically not covered under insurance policies, we offer a solution for our clients. If you choose to use one of our trusted contractors from our supplier network, they will cover our fees for the portion of work that they complete on your behalf.
Please note that your insurance company will not directly pay our fees, unless you have purchased policy that covers Claim Preparation Fees.
Are you wondering why you should consider using your own Independent Loss Adjuster when your insurance company has already appointed one? It’s important to keep in mind that the Loss Adjuster appointed by your insurance company will prioritise reducing their overall liability and mitigating the loss, which may not always align with your best interests.
By hiring your own Independent Loss Adjuster, you can benefit from a fresh perspective and a more personalised approach. We will take the time to understand your unique situation and utilise every aspect of your insurance policy to ensure that you receive the full benefits you are entitled to in the event of a loss. Our priority is to represent your interests and ensure that you receive a fair settlement that accurately reflects the extent of your loss.
Don’t let your insurance company’s Loss Adjuster make decisions that may not be in your best interests. With our help, you can be confident that you are getting the best possible outcome and the maximum benefit from your insurance policy.
Loss Adjusters who work solely for the public, as we do, are often referred to as Loss Assessors by most of the industry. However, not many in the industry realise that Loss Adjusters can work for the public, as well as insurers.
Entrusting your claim to an independent Loss Adjuster, who is a member of the esteemed Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) and registered with the FCA is crucial. At ILA, we pride ourselves on being Loss Adjusters solely devoted to serving the public, whilst adhering to the highest industry standards outlined in the CILA Charter and FCA regulations to ensure a fair and impartial settlement for our clients.
Because we are Loss Adjusters who act in accordance with the CILA Charter and FCA rules and regulations, most Insurers will welcome our involvement. Remember, when we are talking to your Insurance Company, we recognise the insurance jargon, terminology and the potential repercussions that you may experience when providing your Insurance Company with information.
It will be our responsibility to ensure that you appreciate the importance of any questions that are being asked of you, remove the insurance jargon and explain matters to you in a way that you can understand. We see no reason why your Insurance Company should react negatively should you decide to appoint us to assist you.
We believe that everyone should have their own Independent Loss Adjuster when they suffer an insured loss or damage.
